Goal Setting

Question: How do you eat an elephant?

Answer: One piece at a time

Achieving a goal is rather like eating an elephant. It can be hugely daunting and you might be overwhelmed as to where to start but if you tackle it one piece at a time, you will soon be on your way and once one goal is achieved, you will have the confidence to tackle more.

This works well whatever your goal – learning to swim, dropping a dress size or making your first million.

My recipe for success:

Take a piece of paper and a pen. Write your goal in large letters in the middle of the page and draw a ring around it. Think about all the steps that are to be completed along the way to achieving your goal. Draw a line from your goal and detail each step at the end of each line.

Which piece of your elephant are you going to tackle first, when will you do it and who will you tell?
